I met Miah and her family at Scenic Sports to drive to the location I wanted for her session. Going into the summer, I had talked to Teri (Miah’s mom) and we thought the lake would be perfect for Miah. I had a spot in mind at the lake with big rocks just off the shore. Reality was, the water was so high the beach was barely there and no rocks in site. What we had instead was- a lot of biting black flies and really cool drift wood. We had to reschedule our original night because of the ND weather (wind and rain) ruining it for us. The night we finally had Miah’s shoot was perfect. We had a lot of fun and even had the sun peek out of the sky the 30 last minutes of the night. Miah’s makeup and hair were on point. She looked like she just walked off of a movie set! Her last outfit of the night was bib overalls in tribute to her mom, because she wore some in her senior pictures-how sweet is that?!
